Opportunity:

Physical Therapist - Outpatient

Job Details:

* Work in an outpatient/rehabilitation clinic setting providing physical therapy services
* Evaluate and treat patients for physical therapy and rehabilitation programs
* Utilize Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system to complete evaluations, reports, and discharge summaries
* Guide and monitor patient care in all aspects of treatment and follow-up
* Supervise PT Assistants and Aides regarding all aspects of patient care
* Communicate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care
* Maintain accurate patient chart documentation and follow-up regarding prescriptions, test results, and authorizations
* Be proficient in DX and ICD-10 coding for billing of services
* Be familiar with PT billing policy and procedures including Medicare, work comp, private, auto, liens, and cash pay
* Make independent decisions regarding patient care
* Be involved in business marketing and referral process when necessary
* Must be able to be physically mobile, including a combination of stool sitting, walking, and prolonged standing for 8-10 hour work days
* Must be able to lift 50 pounds and assist patients with transferring, mobility, and walking safety
* Must hold an active Physical Therapy license in the state of California or plan to obtain licensure
* Degree in Physical Therapy required
* Continuing education courses preferred
* No travel expected for this position
