Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

* 13-week assignment on a Medical Surgical unit
* Unit contains 26 beds with a 6:1 patient ratio
* 4 weekend shifts per month required
* May float to Surgical or Acute Rehab units
* Document using Meditech system
* Work with equipment including Hoyer lifts, rolling computers, and rolling vital signs monitors
* Technicians available on unit to support nursing staff
* Proficiency in medication administration and controlled substance knowledge required
* Must be skilled in basic patient care and normal limits for vital signs and labs
* Advanced skills required: NG/NJ tubes, chest tubes, and heparin drip
* Care for patients returning from heart procedures performed in cath lab
* BSN preferred
* Some med/surg experience preferred
* Required certifications: BLS
* Required dress code: Navy blue scrubs, tops and bottoms
