Opportunity:

TRAVEL EXP- MS/Tele RN

Job Details:

* 12-hour shifts available on days and nights
* Every other weekend required, with 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
* Block schedules approved but not required
* No on-call requirement, though call may be required in the event of low census
* Patient ratio of 1:5, with ratios of 1:6 on days, nights, and weekends
* Float required to other acute care departments within the hospital
* May be expected to float between sister facilities nearby contracted facility
* Unit serves adult and geriatric patient populations
* Department includes 30 beds with a daily census of approximately 27 patients
* At least 1 year of experience required
* Seasoned traveler required with at least one prior travel contract
* Epic charting system experience required
* Compact nursing license must be in hand at time of submission
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* Required skills include: blood product administration, central line care and management, feeding tube care and management, heparin protocols, high flow nasal cannula, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions and PPE, IV insulin protocols, nasal cannula, oxygen administration, PCA, peripheral line care and management, phlebotomy, PICC line management, starting and maintaining IVs, telemetry monitoring, use of rapid response and code teams, and wound care including wound vac
* Dress code for licensed nursing personnel requires solid navy blue colored uniforms or scrub attire; print tops are not acceptable
* 2 professional references required covering 1 year of experience within the last 3 years
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
* All RTO and specific scheduling requests must be submitted upfront during the submittal process

This short-term acute care facility is a 379-bed hospital and Level II Trauma Center offering a wide range of inpatient services. The facility provides robust interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretarial support.
