Job Details:

* Night shift position working 3x12 or 4x12 schedules on weekdays and weekends
* 26-week contract with possibility of extension
* Patient ratios of 1:5-7
* Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
* Travel experience not required
* Unit cannot guarantee blocked schedule requests but will work with travelers as best as possible
* No scrubs provided
* Charting system: Cerner (experience required)
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (must be through American Heart Association)
* Care for adult patients in a 34-bed acute medical-surgical unit with a daily census of 25-30 patients
* Skills required include blood product administration, BiPAP/CPAP management, heparin and insulin protocols, IV insulin protocols, interpretation of arterial blood gases, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, peripheral line care, PICC line management, tracheostomy care, wound care/wound vac, and use of rapid response/code teams
* Additional skills include bariatric surgery, chest tube management, colostomy/ileostomy care, feeding tube care, ortho trauma, PCA management, phlebotomy, pre/post hemodialysis management, pre/post neurosurgery, spinal cord injury, substance withdrawal, total joint replacement, traumatic brain injury, and CVA management
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary
* Facility will only tolerate 2-3 call-offs per contract due to attendance expectations
* WV or Compact License required; pending license accepted for submission
* Candidates must have a permanent address 100 miles from the facility
