5S MedSurg RN

Job Details:

* Night shift position working 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts on weekdays and weekends
* 13-week contract with possibility of extension
* Patient ratios of 1:5-7
* Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
* Travel experience not required
* Blocked schedule: unit cannot guarantee scheduling requests but will try to accommodate travelers as best as possible
* No scrubs provided
* Charting system: Cerner (experience required)
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA), and NIHSS
* Facility tolerates a maximum of 2-3 call offs per contract
* Care for adult patients in a 34-bed acute medical-surgical unit with a daily census of 25-30 patients
* Required skills include: Blood Product Administration, BiPAP/CPAP management, IV insulin protocols, PICC line management, wound care/wound vac, tracheostomy care/management, peripheral line care/management, interpretation of dysrhythmias, management of dysrhythmias, heparin and insulin administration, non-invasive airway management, phlebotomy, PCA management, and use of Rapid Response/Code teams
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, and Unit Secretary
