Opportunity:

Surgical Technologist - OR

Job Details:

* 8 or 10-hour day shifts with call 1 day per week and every 4 to 6 weekends
* Assigned call rotation with the understanding that coverage for cases outside of general surgery may be needed when on call or during off shifts
* Perform surgical and operating room duties to assist the surgeon and other healthcare team members in providing effective surgical care
* Primary procedures include orthopedics, ENT, plastics, general surgery, and some trauma (pediatric and adult)
* Must have experience with robotic surgical systems
* Experience with Zimmer, Depuy, Biomet, and Stryker total replacement systems required - experience in at least one of these systems is required
* Charting system: EPIC
* Scrubs provided in Ceil Blue
* Must badge in and out at the facility
* Potential to float to other campus locations
* 2+ years of surgical technologist experience required
* Strong General, ENT, Ortho, and Neuro experience required
* Experience working in a large hospital with level 1 trauma experience required
* Must have experience working in a busy acute care facility with more than 15 OR suites
* Required certifications: BLS (AHA)
* Must be on the North Dakota Board of Nursing Unlicensed Assistive Personnel (UAP) Registry at least one week prior to start date
* Must show proof of initiation of ND UAP application process within 3 business days of acceptance of offer

Facility:

This large acute care facility operates 25 OR suites and averages 75 to 100 surgical cases per day, making it one of the busier surgical environments in the region. The facility is a Level 1 Trauma Center offering a wide range of surgical specialties including orthopedics, ENT, plastics, general surgery, and trauma care. The organization utilizes advanced surgical technology including robotic systems and multiple total joint replacement platforms, providing clinicians with exposure to a high volume and diverse range of surgical procedures.
