Opportunity:
RN - PACU
Job Details:
* Function as both a caregiver and care manager, assuming responsibility for a group of patients for a designated time frame
* Direct and oversee the work of other caregivers through delegation, coordination, supervision, and evaluation of patient care outcomes
* Perform assessment and data collection focusing on physiologic, psychosocial, and cognitive status
* Implement care in a knowledgeable, skillful, and consistent manner in adherence to procedures, policies, and care plans
* Document in patient charts via electronic medical records and/or paper processes per policy and regulatory requirements
* May be required to function as a Charge Nurse including delegation of patient assignments, coordinating staff coverage, and serving as a unit lead
* Demonstrate appropriate delegation of patient care activities and effectively supervise assigned coworkers
* Shifts range from 8 to 12 hours with physical requirements including frequent standing, walking, lifting, and managing multiple pieces of equipment
* Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs and push/pull 60 to 300 pounds with assistance as needed
* Must demonstrate competency in caring for patients across the age continuum
* Must demonstrate competency on department-specific equipment checklist
* Minimum one year of RN experience preferred for specialty nursing departments
* Acute care registered nurse experience preferred
* Current Washington State RN Licensure required
* BLS (HCP Level, AHA or equivalent) certification required within 30 days of hire
* ACLS (AHA) certification required within 6 months of hire, renewed every 2 years
* PALS or PEARS (AHA) certification required within 6 months of hire, renewed every 2 years
* CPAN certification preferred
* Total Joint Program requirements include 4 hours of orientation training and 4 hours of annual training
* May cancel up to two shifts per month or up to six shifts within any 13-week assignment
