Open Position: RN - ICU

Opportunity:

RN - NVICU

Job Details:

* Work in a 16-bed Neuro Vascular ICU with patient ratios of 2:1, occasionally 1:1 or 3:1 depending on acuity and staffing
* Minimum weekend requirement of 4 weekend shifts per schedule
* Schedule is done in 4-week increments with self-scheduling available to an extent
* Manager will move shifts to balance out the schedule
* Contract labor is first to float; if staffing need is in med/surg, contract labor is expected to float to med/surg and take the assignment
* Unit secretary staffed during day shift with occasional nurse extern working as a tech
* Work with equipment including ventilators, EVDs, CRRT, SLED, and EV 1000
* Documentation system used is Meditech
* Perform and assist with procedures including insertion of central lines, arterial lines, lumbar punctures, chest tube insertions, and EVD insertions
* Expected to provide attentive and compassionate care to patients and family members
* Dress code requires navy scrubs, tops and bottoms
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
* Active RN license and ICU experience required
