Opportunity:
TRAVEL - RN - Pediatric Congenital CVICU
Job Details:
* Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* 4 shifts per 4-week schedule with weekend requirements
* Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2 for critical care (estimated, never guaranteed)
* Night shift includes 1 Charge RN with RN staffing based on volume
* Minimum 2 years of cardiac critical care experience required
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS
* Preferred skills include peritoneal dialysis, CRRT, and ECMO bedside experience
* Perform post-operative care including inotropic and vasopressor continuous infusions, IVF and chest tube management, and care of post-sternotomy/open chest patients
* Perform moderate sedation procedures
* Utilize equipment including Philips monitors, Med Fusion and Baxter pumps
* Document using Meditech EMR system
* Work with advanced equipment such as Centrimag, Prismax, and Arctic Sun
* Must be flexible, organized, and a strong communicator
* Willingness to resource and teach preferred
Facility:
This facility is home to a specialized Pediatric Cardiac ICU operating within a 10-bed unit partnering with the PICU to deliver comprehensive critical care. The unit serves as the ECMO Center of the hospital, supporting complex medical neonates and congenital cardiac patients using advanced equipment. The physician team consists of board-certified pediatric and congenital heart intensivists committed to delivering the highest level of compassionate critical care. The RN team averages 10 years of nursing experience with high engagement and culture of safety scores, maintaining a strong commitment to evidence-based practice, prevention, and quality metrics.
