Opportunity:
RN - ICU (Float Pool)
Job Details:
* 12-hour rotating day and night shifts, scheduled 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
* 36-hour work week consisting of three 12-hour shifts
* Schedule based on operational need and may rotate between day and night shifts across schedule cycles
* Float pool position requiring ability to float to all ICUs, TCUs, ED, and PACU across all campuses
* Patient ratio of 2:1 for days, nights, and weekends
* Minimum 4 years of recent adult ICU experience required
* ECMO experience within the last 6 months to 1 year required
* Experience caring for ECMO patients as primary bedside RN responsibility without dedicated perfusionist support required
* Must have confirmed experience with the following devices: ECMO, IABP, Impella, LVAD, CRRT, and PA Catheters
* CVICU, CTICU, or CCU experience required
* Minimum 1 year of travel nursing experience within the past 5 years required
* Teaching hospital experience required
* Academic medical center experience highly desirable
* Ability to independently manage complex critical care patients required
* Strong interpersonal communication skills required
* Strongly preferred experience includes: VA ECMO, VV ECMO, V-PA ECMO, CRRT (NxStage), IABP (Teleflex), Impella, ventricular assist devices, heart failure and cardiogenic shock, pulmonary artery catheters, prostacyclin therapies, cardiothoracic surgery recovery, heart and lung transplant recovery, and bridge to transplant
* Charting system: Epic (preferred)
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* BSN required
* California RN license in hand required
* 2 references from most recent employer required at time of submittal
* Patients served: Adults and Geriatrics
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and more

This facility is a large academic medical center with 600 beds, operating across multiple campuses and offering a wide range of advanced specialty services. The organization supports a highly complex patient population requiring multi-organ support therapies, transplant care, and advanced mechanical circulatory support. Robust interdisciplinary teams including pharmacy, respiratory services, physical therapy, radiology, and rapid response teams are available to support patient care across all units.
