Opportunity:

SLP - Speech Language Pathologist

Job Details:

* 8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday
* Block scheduling type
* See approximately 7 patients per day
* Patient population includes pediatrics and adolescents
* Patient ratio of 5 patients during day shifts
* 40 hours of orientation required
* Two pre-approved time off days available
* Minimum 2 years of experience required, with at least 1 year of hospital experience
* Acute care experience required
* Children's hospital experience preferred
* Pediatric outpatient experience preferred
* Pediatric rehabilitation facility experience preferred
* PICU experience preferred
* Teaching hospital experience required
* Trauma Level I and Level II experience preferred
* Community hospital experience preferred
* Epic charting system experience required
* Required certifications: BLS, CCC-SLP
* Key skills include bedside swallow evaluation, acute care, assessment, oral motor, oral peripheral exam, augmentative and alternative communication devices, conducting and interpreting modified barium swallow studies, Passy Muir Valves, trach/vent management, ventilator-dependent patient care, and patient/family education
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, social services, interpretation services, and rapid response teams
* May be reassigned to a different department, unit, or facility at any time during the assignment if qualifications are met
* 2 references from most recent employer required at time of submittal
