Opportunity:

Peds/Neonatal Critical Care Transport RN

Job Details:

* 3x12 night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* Every other weekend requirement
* No on-call required
* May float to cover as bedside nurse in NICU, PICU, or Pediatrics units
* Transport infants and pediatric patients via ground transportation from surrounding hospitals, ERs, and L&D/NICU to a higher level of care
* Work alongside a transportation team including Respiratory Therapist and advanced practice provider
* Pick up patients from ED, NICU, and other units as needed
* Must have experience in ground transportation
* Minimum 1 year of experience required; 2 years preferred
* Charge nurse experience preferred
* Epic charting system experience required
* Required certifications: BLS, NRP, PALS
* Compact nursing license must be in hand at time of submission
* Required skills include: End-Tidal CO2 monitoring, arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, ventilator management, care of ventilated patients, IV vasopressors, central line blood draw, continuous sedation, high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), hypothermia protocol, interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs), interpretation of dysrhythmias, management of chest tubes, management of dysrhythmias, NG tube insertion/management, pediatric dosage calculations, phlebotomy, suctioning (ETT, NT), tracheostomy care, urinary catheter insertion/management, and isolation precautions/PPE
* Patients include neonates, infants, pediatrics, and adolescents
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day

This facility is a well-established healthcare organization located in the Seattle area, offering a high level of care for critically ill neonatal and pediatric patients. The facility supports an interdisciplinary team including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, lift teams, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretaries. The organization is equipped with specialized transport equipment to support its external ground transportation team, which deploys to surrounding hospitals and emergency departments to retrieve patients requiring a higher level of care.
