Opportunity:

LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse

Job Details:

* Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse
* Serve as a direct channel of communication between patients and the assigned Registered Nurse
* Render personal hygiene care and participate in the formulation and updating of patient care plans
* Administer medications and treatments, including respiratory therapy modalities, and maintain accurate records
* Apply and enforce infection control policies and practices
* Organize time, effort, and energy in rendering care while exercising judgment in establishing priorities
* Report incidents and changes in patient condition to the Registered Nurse
* Take appropriate action in stressful, unusual, and emergency situations
* Provide patient instruction during hospitalization and upon discharge
* Assist with orientation and continued learning of new staff members and students
* Maintain professional and clinical competence through active participation in continuing education programs
* Graduate of an approved Licensed Practical Nurse Program with current licensure required
* CPR and ACLS certifications required
* Visual, auditory, and manual dexterity abilities required to assess patient conditions
* Basic computer skills and ability to learn various computer programs required
