Opportunity:

Job Details:

* 36 or 48 hour shift options available
* Ability to work varied shifts and/or days including weekends and holidays
* Weekend coverage required
* Patient ratio of 1:7 for days, nights, and weekends
* 1 year of experience required
* Required certifications: RN Idaho License, BLS, CPI, MAB
* Charting system experience required
* Applies the Nursing Process for patients across all age groups including Adults
* Documents thoroughly as care is delivered following regulatory and hospital requirements
* Administers medications including antianxiety, antidepressants, antipsychotics, and mood stabilizers
* Utilizes behavior management techniques, crisis intervention, and de-escalation techniques
* Applies physical hold protocols and seclusion protocols and procedures
* Provides care for patients with anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, depressive disorders, psychotic disorders, schizophrenia-spectrum disorders, substance use, suicidal behavior, self-injurious behavior, and trauma-related disorders
* Performs blood glucose monitoring and medication administration
* Provides psychoeducation and inpatient behavioral health care
* Must demonstrate good judgment, patience, and maintain a professional demeanor at all times
* Must be able to work in a busy and stressful environment
* Proficiency in computer skills including Word, Excel, Outlook, and electronic medical records software required
* Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills required
* 24 hours of orientation required

Facility:

This behavioral health facility operates a 19-bed inpatient unit with a daily census of 14 patients. The facility provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary services.
