Job Details:

* 3x12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, weekdays
* On-call requirements include occasional weeknight call from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* Weekend on-call only: 1 weekend per month (may appear as 2 weekends in a 5-week schedule); call only on Saturday and until 11:00 PM on Sunday
* Guaranteed hours: 32-40 hours per week
* No floating required
* 14-room OR suite with an average daily census of 25 cases
* Must be able to scrub, circulate, and perform equipment documentation
* Minimum 2 years of experience required
* First-time travelers accepted with applicable experience
* CVOR experience required: Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Repair, Carotid Endarterectomy, Coronary Artery Bypass Graft, Mitral Valve Replacement, Pericardial Window
* CVOR experience preferred: Atherectomy, Atrial Septal Defect Repair, Cardiomyoplasty, Femoral Popliteal Bypass Graft, Robotic Assisted Cardiac Surgery, TAVR, VAD
* Surgery experience required: General, Endo/Laparoscopic, Thoracic
* Surgery experience preferred: Vascular, Urology, Ortho/Total Joints
* Special equipment used: OR Tables, Stirrups (Yellow Fin), Battery Operated Equipment, Positioning Aids, endoscopes, laparoscopic equipment
* Charting system: Cerner (preferred experience)
* Required certifications: NBSTSA, BLS
* WV or Compact OR Tech License required; pending license accepted for submission but active license required before start
* Permanent address must be 100+ miles from the facility (75-99 miles considered on a case-by-case basis)

Facility:

This facility is a short-term acute care hospital and Level IV Trauma Center, as well as a major teaching hospital and member of the Council of Teaching Hospitals and Health Systems (COTH). With 838 total staffed beds, it provides a wide range of surgical and specialty services. The OR department consists of 14 rooms handling an average of 25 cases per day, supported by advanced equipment and technology including robotic surgical systems.
