Opportunity:

RN - PACU

Job Details:

* 8-hour day/mid shifts
* Regular staff schedules completed by seniority, with travel RNs placed in open shift times
* Ability to float to other facilities, including Walnut Creek on a PRN basis
* Minimum 2 years of experience required
* Teaching hospital experience required
* Experience required in: Ambulatory/Outpatient, Inpatient, Pedi PACU, Phase I PACU, Phase II Recovery, and Pre/Post operative care
* Level I Trauma Center experience preferred
* PICU experience preferred
* Patient ratio of 1:1
* Patient age groups include adolescents, infants, and pediatrics
* Charting system: Epic
* Required certifications: AHA BLS, PALS
* California RN license required
* BSN required
* 2 references from most recent employer required at time of submittal
* Interdisciplinary support available including respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary

Facility:

This facility is a major academic medical center offering a full spectrum of specialized surgical and procedural services across multiple locations. The PACU unit operates with 22 beds and a daily census of approximately 25 patients, supporting a wide range of surgical specialties including orthopedics, neurology, cardiac, vascular, and pediatric care. The organization maintains high standards for patient care and staffing, with robust interdisciplinary support available to clinical staff throughout each shift.
