Opportunity:

Operating Room - CVOR Tech 10HR - DAYS

Job Details:

* Day shift, 10-hour shifts
* 40 guaranteed hours per week
* Monday through Friday with one variable off day; on-call required
* On-call required 2-3 times per week and at least 1 weekend per month (24 hours covering Saturday and Sunday)
* Block scheduling available upon request
* Scrubs provided by facility
* Charting system: Cerner
* 1 year of scrub/CVOR experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
* Travel experience required
* Scrub experience required
* Weekend requirement: Yes
* Types of cases required: Adults, Adolescents, Geriatrics - General and Neuro Surgery
* Types of cases preferred: Cardiovascular
* Skilled in Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG), CVOR, Mitral valve replacement, TAVR, Pericardial window, Carotid angioplasty, Femoral popliteal bypass graft, Arteriovenous fistula repair, and Hybrid OR
* Additional skills required: Aseptic Technique, Isolation Precautions/PPE, Sharps Safety, Specimen Handling/Labeling, Universal Protocol (Time Out) Procedure
* Required certifications: BLS, CST
* NBSTSA national certification strongly preferred
* Maryland or Compact license must be active and in hand
* Two supervisor references required
* Maximum of 1 pre-approved time off request
* Candidates must not use any form of nicotine; facility is strictly tobacco-free

This acute care hospital operates 12 operating rooms and maintains 178 total staffed beds. The facility utilizes Cerner for charting and offers complimentary parking in the South Parking Garage. The organization supports a structured surgical environment with a strong focus on cardiovascular and general surgery, providing a comprehensive and well-equipped setting for CVOR professionals.
