Job Details:
* 5x8 hour shifts with start times of 6:30 AM, 9:00 AM, 11:00 AM, or 2:45 PM
* Weekend coverage required on an as-needed basis
* On-call required as needed
* Floating within scope required as needed to meet facility needs
* Minimum 2 years of experience required
* Travel experience required
* First-time travelers not accepted
* Required certifications: BLS and NBSTSA
* Charting system: Epic (Excellian)
* Scrubs provided by facility
* Required work setting experience: CVOR, General OR, and Hybrid OR
* Required cardiovascular case skills: Aortic Aneurysm repair, Atrial Septal Defect repair, Cardiomyoplasty, Coronary Artery Bypass Graft, Endovascular Aortic Repair (EVAR), Mitral Valve Replacement, Pericardial Window, Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR), and Ventricular Assist Device (VAD)
* Required vascular case skills: Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm repair, Arteriovenous Fistula repair, Carotid Angioplasty, Carotid Artery Stenting, Carotid Endarterectomy, Endovascular Aneurysm Repair, Femoral Popliteal Bypass Graft, Laparoscopic Assisted Cases, TEVAR (Thoracic Endovascular Aortic Repair), and Vein Stripping
* Required thoracic case skills: Laparoscopic Assisted Cases, Lung Resection - Thoracotomy, and VATS
* Required professional knowledge and skills: Aseptic Technique, Isolation Precautions, Laser Safety, Radiation Safety, Sharps Safety, Specimen Handling/Labeling, Sterilization/Disinfection, and Universal Protocol (Time Out) Procedure
* Cases include CVOR, spine, orthopedics, vascular, general surgery, and robotics
* XI robotics experience preferred
* Facility operates 20 OR rooms with 40-50 cases per day

This acute care teaching hospital is a Level 3 trauma center with 317 staffed beds, offering a high-volume surgical environment with 20 operating rooms handling 40-50 cases per day. The facility supports a wide range of complex surgical specialties including cardiovascular, vascular, thoracic, orthopedic, and robotic surgery. As a teaching hospital, it maintains high standards of clinical excellence and provides comprehensive support services to both staff and patients.
