Job Details:

* Minimum 3 years of experience required
* First-time travelers accepted
* 4 weekend shifts per month (Friday or Saturday nights)
* On-call is voluntary
* Must be willing to float to Perinatal if needed
* May be placed on call if not needed for scheduled shift
* Must have Epic experience
* Unit includes 4 Triage, 11 LDR, 2 OR, NICU, and Post-Partum with 24-hour OB hospitalist and OB anesthesia coverage
* Handles both low and high risk Labor and Delivery cases
* Patient population includes neonates, adolescents, and adults
* Required skills: use of external fetal monitoring, recognition and treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns, and circulating for C-sections
* Unit systems used: SBAR, Omnicell, and eMD Allscripts (Allscripts experience preferred)
* Required certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Advanced
* RTO must be submitted with application
* No RTO permitted during the first two weeks of assignment
* Maximum of 3 days RTO allowed
* 1 Holiday RTO may be submitted but is not guaranteed to be approved
* Must be willing to work most holidays
* Once RTO is submitted, it cannot be changed unless canceling the requested time
* Active California license required
* References required at submission

Facility:

This facility features a comprehensive Labor and Delivery unit equipped with triage rooms, LDR rooms, operating rooms, NICU, and Post-Partum care. The unit provides around-the-clock OB hospitalist and OB anesthesia support and is capable of managing both low and high risk Labor and Delivery cases. Interdisciplinary support services include respiratory services, interpretation services, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretarial staff.
