Opportunity:

Occupational Therapy - Altru Devils Lake Clinic

Job Details:

* Perform evaluations and treatment of patients in compliance with licensure standards
* Select and perform evaluation and treatment methods correlating to patient age, diagnosis, symptoms, and physician orders
* Work with an interdisciplinary team to contribute to patient goal development, care planning, and identifying barriers to discharge
* Orient patients, family members, and appropriate parties to the purpose and procedures of therapy evaluation and treatment
* Provide patient-centered care and educate patients and families on treatment procedures, assistive devices, home programs, and related health topics
* Coordinate treatment schedules with other disciplines using appropriate scheduling procedures
* Monitor program effectiveness and outcomes, initiating and developing new programs as needed
* Perform pain assessments and take appropriate action according to standard operating procedures
* Obtain and document all required and pertinent patient information including precautions, orders, and initial plan of care
* Participate with interdisciplinary team in the development and accurate documentation of discharge plans
* Identify significant changes in patient condition and take appropriate actions including reporting, staffing consultations, and documentation
* Provide clinical supervision to OTAs in a collaborative manner following state licensure and care delivery standards
* Will consider new graduates with inpatient/outpatient experience; 2+ years of experience preferred
* Inpatient and/or outpatient experience required
* Required certifications: Occupational Therapist licensure (North Dakota State Board of Occupational Therapy), OTR/L (NBCOT), Basic Life Support - BLS (AHA)
* Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record required
