Opportunity:

RN - Endoscopy

Job Details:

* Work in an endoscopy unit averaging 45-65 cases daily across 8 procedure rooms
* Perform procedures on both inpatient and outpatient populations
* Assist with a wide range of GI procedures including basic EGDs and colonoscopies as well as complex interventional GI cases such as ERCP, EUS, POEMs, and cystgastrostomy
* Work alongside respiratory therapists who assist with bronchoscopies and GI techs supporting procedural cases
* All cases supported by an in-house anesthesia group
* Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
* Patient ratio of 2:1 during day shifts
* Every other weekend required
* No on-call responsibilities
* Float within facility and scope of practice as needed
* Self-scheduling model
* 20 orientation hours required
* Maximum of 7 days of requested time off per contract; all RTO must be finalized at time of submission
* Expected to work major holidays that fall within the assignment period
* Minimum 2 years of endoscopy experience required; first-time travelers will not be accepted
* Travel experience required
* Epic charting system experience required
* Community hospital experience preferred
* Trauma Level I and Level II experience preferred
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
* Required skills: administering and monitoring conscious sedation, bronchoscopy, circulating, colonoscopy, EGD, inpatient and outpatient endoscopy, pre/post procedure care, recovering conscious sedation, and specimen handling and labeling
* Georgia or Compact nursing license required at time of submission
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, pharmacy, and rapid response teams

The organization maintains robust interdisciplinary support services and utilizes an in-house anesthesia group to support all procedural cases.
