Open Position: RN - Med Surg Oncology

Estimated Gross Weekly Pay: $2602.20

Opportunity:

RN - Radiation Oncology

Job Details:

* Work in an outpatient radiation oncology department seeing approximately 50 patients per day
* RN duties include starting IVs, providing patient education, triaging patient calls, and wound care
* Skin wound care experience preferred
* No weekend shifts required
* No floating required
* No on-call required
* No scheduling requests can be accommodated - must remain flexible
* 3 years of med/surg RN experience required
* Oncology (ONC) knowledge required
* Valid, active California RN license required - pending or temporary licenses not accepted
* BLS certification required
* ONC certification highly preferred
* ACLS preferred
* Epic charting system experience required
* Flu vaccine required with no exemptions
* 2 supervisor or higher references from within the past year required at time of submission
* Skills required include: peripheral IV starts, venipuncture, wound assessment, wound care, radiation safety precautions, outpatient oncology, radiation oncology, and monitoring of medication side effects

This facility is a well-established healthcare organization offering a full range of medical services, including a dedicated outpatient radiation oncology department. The department is supported by a robust interdisciplinary team including IV teams, interpretation services, social services, lift teams, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation. The facility maintains high standards for patient care and serves an adult patient population across six clinical rooms with a daily census of approximately 50 patients.
