Job Details:

* Work 12-hour shifts with available shift times including days (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM), mid shifts (various options including 10:00 AM - 10:00 PM, 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM, 12:00 PM - 12:00 AM), and nights (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
* Every other weekend rotation required
* No on-call responsibilities
* 1 holiday per contract expected
* RTO approvals of up to 7 days available
* Minimum 2 years of emergency department experience required
* Patient ratio of 1:4, set up in pods with 8 patients between 3 nurses
* Care for diverse patient population including geriatric, abdominal pain, chest pain, stroke, psychiatric, respiratory, and approximately 15% pediatric patients
* Required skills include TNK, conscious sedation, chest tubes, and central lines
* EPIC EMR experience required
* Equipment includes Alaris IV pumps and Pyxis medication dispensing system
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI or MOAB, and NIHSS
* Scrub color: Any color, professional attire required
* Free parking available
* No floating required
* Orientation includes 1 week of NEO, EPIC training, skills check off, general site check off, position-specific check off, and 2-3 precepted shifts
* MHS Tele Test required prior to arrival

Facility:

This 123-bed community hospital operates as a Level 3 Trauma Center, offering a smaller, community-focused healthcare environment. The emergency department features 21 beds, 8 hallway beds, 5 fast track beds, and 4-12 outpatient overflow beds serving as a secondary fast track. The facility provides robust support including 24/7 charge nurses, hospitalists, respiratory therapy, telemetry monitoring, and phlebotomy-certified ER technicians. Additional resources include an IV/VAT team, interventional radiology services, and critical care float support as needed.
