Open Position: RN - Mother Baby Postpartum

Estimated Gross Weekly Pay: $1749.64

Opportunity:

RN - Postpartum / Newborn Nursery

Job Details:

* 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM)
* Weekend requirement: Every other weekend
* Guaranteed hours: 36 hours per week
* Assignment length: 13 weeks
* 2+ years of hospital experience required
* Newborn nursery experience required
* Ability to care for high-risk antepartum patients as well as postpartum recoveries
* IV placement performed on unit
* Experience with antepartum care and newborn nursery care required
* Documentation system: Meditech (experience preferred)
* Advanced fetal monitoring (FM) is a plus
* RNC-OB certification is a plus but not required
* Required certifications: NRP, BLS
* Active Texas RN license required (temporary license will NOT be accepted)
* Floating policy: As needed
* Call requirements: To be discussed during interview
* Dress code: Royal blue scrubs required
* Nail policy: Clean and healthy nails only; no artificial nails, gel, or next gen
* Hair must be neat and clean with no extreme styles or colors; must be pulled back if shoulder length or longer
* Body art should be covered whenever possible
* Visible piercings other than ears are prohibited, including nose rings and tongue rings

This healthcare facility operates a dedicated Postpartum and Newborn Nursery unit providing specialized care for mothers and newborns. The unit utilizes the Meditech documentation system and is equipped to handle high-risk antepartum patients as well as postpartum recoveries. The facility maintains a structured floating policy and upholds a professional dress code and attendance standards to ensure the highest quality of patient care.
