NICU RN
Job Details:
* Level III or higher NICU experience required with 2 or more years preferred
* Patient ratios of 1:1, 1:2, 1:3, or 1:4 depending on patient acuity
* 51-bed Level III Neonatal ICU unit located on floor 6
* Day shift staffing includes 18 RNs, 1 charge RN, 2 respiratory therapists, and a tech
* Night shift staffing includes 18 RNs, 1 charge RN, and 2 respiratory therapists
* Every other weekend requirement
* EMR system: Cerner
* Floating may be required to Pediatrics, PICU, and Mother Baby (babies only)
* Dress code: Navy blue scrubs
* Required certification: NRP
* Preferred certifications: Stable and NIC-RNC
* Detail oriented and organized personality preferred
Facility:
This 815-bed acute care facility serves as a regional referral center for tertiary and quaternary care and is the only Level II trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, and children's hospital in western North Carolina. The facility offers a wide variety of specialties including cardiovascular, orthopedics, neurosciences, oncology, pediatrics, women's services, and behavioral health, and is recognized as the second busiest surgical hospital in the state. The onsite children's hospital features 96 beds dedicated to infants and children, including the 51-bed Level III Neonatal ICU, and provides 30 pediatric subspecialists. A recently opened state-of-the-art patient tower spanning over 630,000 square feet includes a new Emergency Department, interventional procedural rooms, operating rooms, and 220 private patient rooms.
