Opportunity:

RN - Cardiac Telemetry

Job Details:

* Work on a 25-bed Cardiac Telemetry Unit with a 4:1 patient ratio
* Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* Weekend requirement: Every 3rd Friday and Saturday (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM) plus an additional Friday or Saturday each schedule
* Holiday coverage required for Halloween, the Friday after Thanksgiving, and Christmas night
* Work alongside a team of 1 Charge RN, 6 RNs, and 1 tech on night shift
* Telemetry experience and ability to read EKGs required
* Must be able to handle a fast-paced unit with frequent admissions, discharges, transfers, and procedures
* Perform procedures including peritoneal dialysis and EKGs (most cardiac procedures performed in Cath Lab)
* Utilize equipment including EKG Machine, Hoyer Lift, and LifePak
* Document using Meditech EMR system
* Set priorities and modify patient care in response to changing conditions using problem-solving skills and good judgment
* Make appropriate and timely notifications to physicians on patient condition changes
* May float to Med Surg unit (low probability)
* Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
* Dress code: Navy scrubs
