Cath Lab Tech

Job Details:

* 3x12-hour day shifts from 8:30 AM to 8:30 PM
* 36 guaranteed hours per week
* Weekend requirement: 1 weekend (Friday evening through Monday AM) every 4-5 weeks
* Call requirements: 2 weekday nights from 7:00 PM to 6:30 AM and weekend call every 4-5 weeks starting Friday 7:00 PM through Monday AM at 6:30 AM; call teams rotate every 12 hours between 1st and 2nd call
* May be required to cover a holiday if it falls on scheduled call rotation
* Must be willing to stay until all cases are completed
* Flexible scheduling required
* Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab experience required; must be competent in all aspects of Cath Lab Diagnostic and Intervention including Structural
* Travel experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
* No floating to sister facilities required
* Staffing ratio: 1:1
* Average daily census: 35-45
* Patient population: Adult cardiology and structural cardiology
* Special procedures include: LHC, RHC, PCI, CTO, Impella, IABP, ECMO, TPM, Shockwave, IVUS, Penumbra, TAVR, Watchman, and Mitral and Tricuspid valve procedures
* Special equipment includes: Cerner EHR, Siemens Artiz Z & Q radiology equipment, Impella, IABP, Philips Volcano IVUS, BSC IVUS, CTO-Abbott, and Shockwave
* Charting system: Cerner
* Scrubs provided by facility
* Free parking for travelers
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, ARRT(BD), and ARRT(R)
* Required skills include: Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab, Cardiac Implant Closure Device, Cardiac Stent Placement, IABP Placement/Removal, Left Heart Catheterization, PCI, PTCA, Scrub Procedures, Sterile Technique, and Recognition of Life-Threatening Arrhythmias
* Active WV license required to start assignment
* RCIS or RCES candidates are not eligible; WV does not consider RCIS as licensed to work in the Cath Lab
* 100-mile radius rule applies; candidates between 75-100 miles may be considered on a case-by-case basis

This facility is a short-term acute care hospital and Level IV Trauma Center serving as a major teaching hospital and member of the Council of Teaching Hospitals and Health Systems (COTH). With 838 total staffed beds, the facility operates a very busy Cath Lab and is equipped with advanced technology to support a wide range of cardiac and structural cardiology procedures.
