Open Position: RN - CCU/ICU Neuro CCU Stepdown

Opportunity:

RN - Step-Down ICU / ICU

Job Details:

* Float between Step-Down ICU and ICU units as needed
* Utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients
* Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies, procedures, and standards of care
* Document patient care according to standards of care
* Develop, initiate, and execute individualized patient plans of care as prescribed by physician and/or hospital policy, including patient and family instruction
* Participate in department or unit performance improvement activities, including shared governance
* Provide clinical expertise and guidance to other units and departments in support of the patient's longitudinal plan of care
* Utilize critical thinking regarding patient safety and experience, escalating appropriately through the chain of command
* Strong ICU experience at a Level 1 Trauma Center required
* Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program; education verification required
* Required certifications: CPR, ACLS, NIHSS
* Active Illinois (IL) nursing license required
