Opportunity:

LPN/LVN - Oncology

Job Details:

* Work 8-hour day shifts from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, 5 days per week
* No weekend requirements
* No on-call requirements
* Minimum 2 years of experience in an oncology setting required
* Previous charge experience required
* Patient ratio of 10 patients per day shift
* Charting in Epic required
* Scrubs provided in dark blue
* Active California LVN license with Intravenous Therapy and Blood Withdrawal certification required
* Required certifications: BLS, Intravenous Therapy and Blood Withdrawal
* Perform central line blood draws and central line dressing changes
* Administer IM, SQ, and subcutaneous medications and vaccines
* Monitor intake and output and manage IV pumps
* Conduct telephone triage and follow-up phone calls
* Complete phlebotomy, vital sign monitoring, and pain assessment and management
* Obtain 12-lead EKG/ECG and perform simple dressing changes
* Handle medication reconciliation and pharmacy calls/patient refill requests
* Label specimens and manage patient health questionnaires, histories, and allergies
* Communicate patient status changes to RN/MD
* Treat adult patient population in a hematology/oncology office setting

This facility is a dedicated cancer center offering specialized oncology and hematology services to patients in an outpatient clinic setting. The center provides comprehensive care with interdisciplinary support including phlebotomy services, and is equipped to handle a wide range of oncology-related diagnoses and procedures. The facility maintains high standards for patient care and utilizes Epic for efficient and accurate charting and documentation.
