Opportunity:

INPATIENT/ACUTE OT

Job Details:

* Tuesday to Saturday schedule, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
* Acute care setting
* Work with inpatient adult and geriatric population including orthopedic, neurological, medical, and pulmonary cases
* Float between inpatient, outpatient, and home health settings as needed
* Outpatient center located 2.5 miles from main facility (approximately 8-minute drive)
* OT hand therapy is a significant component of the role
* Work within a facility featuring 189 beds including ICU, telemetry, medical, surgical, and mother and baby units
* Facility has ventilator patients ranging from 2 to 6 at any given time
* JCAHO certified for Stroke (NIH certified) and Total Joint Program for elective hips and knees
* Early mobility program including vent early mobility level 2
* Charting system: Cerner
* Required certifications: BLS Certification and California OT license
* Dress code: Burgundy polo or long sleeve shirt, black pants, and appropriate shoes
* General department orientation with skills checklist and assigned clinician provided
* Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment or 3 shifts for assignments less than 13 weeks
* No holiday requirement
* BSN not required

Facility:

This acute care facility operates 189 beds across multiple units including ICU, telemetry, medical, surgical, and mother and baby units, with an average census of approximately 150 patients. The facility offers comprehensive therapy services through an experienced team including therapists, supervisors, and a Director of Rehab Services, supported by therapy aides and licensed staff across both inpatient and outpatient settings. The organization maintains 24/7 respiratory therapy and pharmacy services, and holds JCAHO certification for stroke care along with a Total Joint Program for elective procedures.
