Open Position: RN - Acute Med Surg Acute Care

Opportunity:

RN - Medical/Surgical (Acute Care)

Job Details:

* 12-hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
* Every other weekend requirement
* Holiday shifts as needed
* Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5, possibly 1:6 for both days and nights
* CNA support available at 1:8 to 1:10 ratio, may also serve as sitters
* Telemetry monitored on a separate unit
* Floating required to all acute care, cardiology for medical patients, and EC for acute care patient holds
* Scrub color required: Caribbean Blue
* Required certifications: BLS (AHA) and NIHSS (AHA)
* 1 year of experience required with at least 1 travel assignment
* BSN not required
* EMR system: Meditech (experience preferred but not required)
* General orientation: 1 week including EMR training
* Floor-specific orientation: 2 days
* Must reside within a strict 75-mile radius from the hospital based on address on driver's license

This acute care facility operates a 44-bed unit staffed by approximately 40 medical professionals, providing comprehensive inpatient medical and surgical care. The facility offers telemetry monitoring capabilities and maintains a strong support structure with certified nursing aides. The organization is committed to quality patient care across multiple acute care settings including cardiology and emergency services.
