Opportunity:

RN - Med/Surg

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
* Position located on the 5th floor Medical/Oncology unit within the main hospital building
* Unit operates with 30 beds and a staff of 53
* Day and night shift RN staffing of 4-6 RNs depending on census
* Patient ratio of 1:6 for both day and night shifts
* Estimated patient ratios range from 1:1 to 3:1 and are not guaranteed
* Required to work with remote telemetry equipment
* EMR system used is Meditech
* Minimum 1 year of current hospital acute care Med/Surg experience required
* BLS certification required
* Med/Surg experience required; candidates without this experience will not be considered
* Mom/baby experience with NRP preferred
* Surgical and medical experience preferred and will be considered first
* Typical procedures performed on unit include cholecystectomy, appendectomy, and medical management
* Must be outgoing with a can-do attitude and outstanding customer service skills
* Must be independent and confident in own skills and judgment, as work is often performed with one other RN or alone with resources available on the floor but not on the unit
