RN - PCU

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position with float responsibilities across inpatient Med/Tele and Rehab units
* Patient ratios of 1:5 on both day and night shifts (varies between units)
* Work alongside RNs and CNAs on most units
* Minimum 1 year of current acute care PCU experience required
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale
* Prior Meditech EMR experience preferred
* Chemo Certification preferred (would allow scheduling on Oncology unit)
* Large cardiac patient population with exposure to Telemetry floors and PCU
* Perform varied procedures across units including care for patients with both acute and chronic medical conditions
* Must demonstrate flexibility and willingness to float between units
* Team player with compassion required

This facility is a 345-bed acute care hospital that has achieved a 3-time Magnet Designation, reflecting its commitment to nursing excellence and high-quality patient care. The facility features multiple inpatient units including Progressive Care, Telemetry, Medical, and Rehabilitation, supported by a float pool of approximately 80 staff members. The organization utilizes Meditech as its electronic medical records system and fosters a collaborative environment where staff work together across units to provide comprehensive patient care.
