Opportunity:

Surgical Tech - OR

Job Details:

* Day shift schedule with on-call staff coverage after 5:00 PM in either 14-hour or 16-hour shifts
* Night shift is on-call staff only after 7:00 PM
* Patient ratio is 1:1 (1 Surgical Tech to 1 RN in general cases, 2 Surgical Techs to 2 RNs in cardiovascular cases)
* Must have CV surgical tech experience with ability to scrub cardiovascular surgery procedures
* Must have the ability to scrub general procedures and other cases
* Preferred skills include CV scrub skills, orthopedic scrub skills, and robotic surgery scrub skills
* Typical procedures include CABGs, mitral valve replacements, femoral bypass, thrombectomy, orthopedic, neuro/spine, general robotics, GYN robotics, urology, ENT, and podiatry
* EMR system used is MediTech
* May provide on-call coverage 1-2 nights per week and 1 weekend per month
* Weekend team is on-site for 12 hours per day with potential coverage needed for additional emergency cases
* Possible floating to the adjacent ASC across the street from the hospital (extremely rare)
* Required certification: BLS
* Scrubs are blue and provided by the facility due to daily change requirements

This hospital facility operates 10 OR suites and 1 cystoscopy suite, supported by a team of full-time and PRN surgical techs and OR nurses. The facility handles a wide range of surgical specialties including cardiovascular, orthopedic, neuro/spine, robotic surgery, gynecology, urology, ENT, and podiatry.
