Opportunity:

RN - Tele

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
* Telemetry unit located on the 2nd floor of the main hospital building
* 18-bed telemetry unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 5:1
* Work alongside 1 charge nurse, 3-4 RNs, and 2 PCTs per shift
* Minimum 1 year of current acute care telemetry RN experience required
* Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
* NIH Certification preferred
* Trauma/orthopedic experience preferred
* Neuro/stroke experience preferred
* Utilize GE wireless telemetry boxes and Welch Allyn vital sign machines
* Document using Meditech EMR system
* Perform neurovascular checks on limbs, frequent ambulation and repositioning
* Apply orthopedic precautions and provide comprehensive pain control
* Treat a wide variety of patients including blunt force trauma, poly trauma, SCIs, GSWs, stabbings, chest pain, stroke workups, CHF, AFib, RVR, and TBIs
* Positive attitude and teamwork-oriented mindset required

This facility operates an 18-bed telemetry unit staffed by an experienced and collaborative team, many of whom have over 10 years of experience on the unit. The unit is known for its teamwork-focused culture that warmly welcomes new staff and provides strong peer support. The facility treats a wide variety of complex cases including trauma, orthopedic injuries, and standard telemetry patients, offering a dynamic and enriching environment for experienced nurses.
