Job Details:

* Work 10-hour shifts, 4 days per week from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
* Scheduled day off based on department needs, with special requests considered when possible
* Scheduled late stays a few times per month (approximately 5-8 days per month, utilized about 3-4 times per month)
* No on-call required
* Possibility of floating within Perioperative facility
* Block scheduling available at manager's discretion
* Guaranteed hours with facility allowed to call off 1 shift per 2-week period (10 hours per 2-week period)
* Minimum 1 year of experience required
* Required certifications: BLS, South Carolina or Compact RN License
* Radiation badge must be provided by parent company
* Experience required in: Ophthalmology, Ortho, ENT, GYN, GU, Endocrine, Surgical Oncology, Plastics, Robotics, Total Joints unit does not perform general surgery, L&D, or pediatrics
* Candidates should be well-rounded in specialties that align with the unit's caseload
* First-time travelers not accepted
* Local candidates accepted within a 60-mile radius
* All RTO must be submitted at the time of submission; multiple RTO requests within an 8-13 week contract will be denied
* Epic charting system experience preferred
* Patient age groups served: Adolescents, Adults, and Geriatrics
* Daily census of 10-20 patients across five ORs
* Patient ratio of 1:1
* Surgical procedures include: Total joints, arthroscopy, knee, shoulder, ankle, wrist, elbow, hip scopes, ACL, MPFL, cuff repairs, Latarjet, hand/elbow, foot and ankle, total hips, knees, and shoulders, with limited spine procedures beginning in January
* Anesthesia staff responsible for moving patients to and from OR using motorized stretchers
* Special equipment includes: 100% Skytron slider beds, Neptune suction, Stryker power tools, Arthrex integrated arthroscopy on booms, mini-C and large-C arms, Hanna Table, Trios Table (Jackson), Zeiss Microscope/Wilson frame, pegboard, and other orthopedic positioning equipment
* RN with scrub ability is a plus but not required
* Interdisciplinary support available including Physical Therapy, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Pharmacy, and Unit Secretary

This facility is a dedicated orthopedic ambulatory surgery center offering a specialized and focused surgical environment. The unit operates across five ORs and features a pre/post patient area with 20 bays, 2 ORs, 2 GI procedural rooms, and 1 VIR procedural room. The center is equipped with state-of-the-art orthopedic surgical equipment and supports a collaborative team of RNs, PCTs, surgeons, and anesthesia professionals committed to delivering safe and effective patient care in a fast-paced environment.
