Job Details:
* 1 year of experience required
* Self-scheduling
* Patient ratio of 4:1 for days, nights, and weekends
* 3 out of 6 weekend shifts required per contract
* Must be willing to work 2 out of 3 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year
* Average daily census of 105 with approximately 135 visits per day
* 20 rooms and 26 beds available
* Float required to cover Observation Unit for ER Hold patients
* May be expected to float between sister facilities nearby contracted facility
* Valid California state license required; pending license not accepted
* RTO restrictions: no more than 7 days
* 40 orientation hours required
* Scrubs: providers may wear their own scrubs - no prints allowed
* Epic charting system experience required
* Community hospital experience preferred
* EDAP (Emergency Department Approved for Pediatrics) facility
* Level 3 trauma facility
* TNCC preferred in hand prior to start; candidates willing to obtain TNCC prior to start may be submitted as a screen
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC
* Patients served include neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
* Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, lift teams, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary
* 2 references required covering 1 year within the last 3 years, completed during compliance process and prior to start; can include Charge RNs/Leads
* 50-mile radius rule applies
Facility:
This emergency department is a Level 3 trauma center and EDAP-designated facility providing comprehensive emergency care across a wide range of patient populations, from neonates to geriatrics. The facility is both STEMI and Stroke certified, with robust interdisciplinary support services including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more. The emergency department is equipped to handle high-acuity cases and maintains an Observation Unit for ER Hold patients.
