Job Details:

* Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* Weekend shifts required based on unit needs and requests
* No on-call or standby requirement
* No block scheduling guaranteed - cannot work 6 shifts in a row
* Float to all Treasure Valley sites in Meridian, Nampa, and Boise in primary skill set (L&D, Postpartum, or Antepartum) or as a sitter
* Travel duos will need 2 separate cars as staff may be at different sites or float during a shift
* Hospital-issued scrubs required - must be changed into and out of at the beginning and end of each shift
* No fingernail lacquer policy - acrylic or gel nails are not permitted in the department
* EPIC Curio and compliance assignments must be completed before start date
* 4 shifts of unit-specific orientation provided, including orientation to C-section, labor, and postpartum
* Charting system: EPIC
* 14-bed LDRP unit where patients remain in the same room throughout their stay
* 2 OR suites for C-sections - RNs will circulate and recover
* 4 triage beds staffed by travelers
* Unit delivers approximately 90 births per month and 1,200 per year
* Follows AWHONN staffing standards: 1:1 labor ratios (may pair 2 cervical ripening patients), 1:3 postpartum couplet care, and 1:3 triage
* Must have a minimum of 1 year of L&D experience (2-3 years preferred)
* Must have mother baby experience (1 year preferred)
* Must be able to attend deliveries and complete 1 hour of newborn care, triage, circulate C-sections, and provide postpartum couplet care
* Must have experience with magnesium and be able to titrate drips including Pitocin, Magnesium, and Insulin protocols
* Common patient diagnoses include 32+ week gestation, hypertension with magnesium administration, TOLACs, gestational diabetes, and antepartum patients
* Unit does not accept placenta previa or placenta accreta cases
* OB hospitalist and neonatal NP available on-site 24/7
* Anesthesia available in-house 24/7
* NICU is embedded within 7 of the LDRP rooms
* EFM system: Centricity
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), STABLE

Facility:

This acute care facility operates a comprehensive LDRP unit where patients remain in the same room throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum care. The unit is supported by an embedded NICU, two dedicated OR suites for C-sections, and four triage beds. The facility maintains 24/7 in-house OB hospitalist coverage, neonatal NP support, and anesthesia services, ensuring a high standard of care for a diverse patient population. The organization follows AWHONN staffing standards and is supported by charge nurses, resource nurses, certified surgical technicians, and CNAs on every shift.
