Open Position: RN - Pre Op

Estimated Gross Weekly Pay: $2166.88

Opportunity:

RN - Pre-Op

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
* Unit operates with a 1:3 patient ratio
* On-call requirement includes two 10-hour weekend shifts every 8-9 weekends with a 30-minute response time while on call
* Minimum 1 year of current acute care Pre-Op RN hospital experience required
* Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
* Prior Meditech EMR experience preferred
* Some Pre-Op experience or ability to assist Pre-Op staff preferred
* Perform pre-operative preparation for Surgery, Endo, Cath Lab, EP, and CT patients
* Manage Phase 2 recoveries for Urology, GYN, and other same-day surgery patients
* Support outpatient infusions, outpatient EKGs, blocks, and blood transfusions
* Utilize equipment including Pyxis, GE MACVU EKG machine, Doppler, patient scale, and bladder scanner
* Strong patient experience focus and effective communication with staff and providers is essential

Facility:

This medical center operates a well-staffed Pre-Op Holding and Ambulatory Surgery Unit featuring 9 Pre-Op beds and 5 Phase 2 recovery beds. The unit is supported by a dedicated team of full-time, part-time, and PRN registered nurses along with a unit health unit coordinator. The facility utilizes modern equipment and technology to ensure high-quality patient care across a range of surgical and procedural specialties.
