L&D Nights

Job Details:

* Night shift position in Labor & Delivery
* Option of 36 or 48 hours per week
* First time travelers welcome
* Minimum 2 years of experience required; 3 years preferred
* Patient ratio of 1:2 for days, nights, and weekends
* 4-6 weekend shifts required per 6-week period
* Scrubs provided by facility
* Required certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, and NRP (pending certifications accepted)
* Charting system experience required
* Must be comfortable with antepartum care, anticoagulation therapy, antihypertensives, and insulin drips
* Must be able to assist with high-risk and vaginal deliveries and circulate for C-sections
* Must be able to recover C-section patients and perform sterile vaginal exams
* Experience with triage of obstetrical patients required
* Proficiency with external fetal monitoring (EFM) required
* Must be comfortable maintaining central lines (CVC/PICC)
* Must follow isolation precautions and proper PPE protocols
* Experience with neonatal and adult patient populations required
* Travelers will be expected to float to like units within their scope as needed

Facility:

This facility operates a 15-bed Labor & Delivery unit with a census of 100-200 births per month. The unit is supported by a comprehensive interdisciplinary team including respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretarial support, ensuring a collaborative and well-resourced environment for patient care.
