Opportunity:

RN - Cardiology Stepdown

Job Details:

* Work on a 40-bed cardiac stepdown unit located on the 5th floor of the Owen Heart Tower
* Patient ratio of 1:4 with potential stretch staffing at 1:5 ratio
* Care for patients with CHF, MI, chest pain, arrhythmia, pulmonary hypertension, valvular disease, endocarditis, DKA, post cardiac cath/stent, and post pacer/ICD/ablation
* Work with equipment including Zoll monitors, Baxter pumps, lift equipment, bladder scanner, and Cerner EMR
* Perform bedside cardioversion procedures
* Must have stepdown or progressive care experience and telemetry experience
* Must have experience with titratable or cardiac IV medications such as nitroglycerin, Cardizem, amiodarone, dopamine, dobutamine, insulin drip, heparin, and Lasix/bumex
* Experience with prostacyclins (Flolan, Veletri, Remodulin) preferred
* Relief charge experience preferred
* Dress code requires all white, all navy blue, or white top with navy blue pants
* Every other weekend requirement
* Float to all MedSurg units, stepdown units, and ER holding as needed
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
