Open Position: RN - CVICU Float Pool

Opportunity:

RN - CICU

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour shifts with 36 hours per week required
* Alternating weekend schedule
* 16-bed Cardiac Intensive Care Unit with patient ratios of 2:1 or 1:1 (occasionally 3:1 depending on acuity)
* RN-only unit with no HUC or PCT support
* Scrub colors required: All Navy or Navy and White - no pullovers or hoodies, no green scrubs except when uniform is soiled at work
* Document using Cerner electronic health records system
* Travelers are expected to float to all areas
* ICU experience required
* Must be proficient in titration of vesicant medications and familiarity with pressors, sedation, and paralytics
* Experience with ventilators, tracheostomies, and telemetry interpretation required
* Understanding of hemodynamics and PA catheter setup and interpretation required
* Experience with transvenous pacing and cardioversion required
* Perform and assist with procedures including cardioversion, central line insertion, EGD, bronchoscopy, chest tube insertions, pericardiocentesis, and thoracentesis
* Work with equipment including vents, telemetry, Baxter IV pumps, IABP, CRRT, Impella, and hypothermia devices
* No certifications required; CCRN recommended and IABP, Impella, and CRRT experience appreciated
* Advanced skills in IABP, Impella, and CRRT are desirable
