Job Details:

* Night shift position in the Emergency Room
* Option of 36 or 48 hours per week
* Every other weekend coverage required
* Self-scheduling
* 2 years of experience preferred; will consider less
* Previous travel experience preferred
* Scrub color: Navy
* EPIC documentation system required
* Required certifications in hand at time of submission: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS
* Patient population includes neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
* Patient ratio experience of 4 patients required
* May be expected to float to like units within scope based on facility needs
* Skills required include triage, IV management, blood product administration, interpretation of dysrhythmias, arterial blood gas interpretation, procedural sedation administration and monitoring, emergency medications, care of ventilated patients, and management of multisystem conditions

Facility:

This emergency department operates a 38-bed unit with a daily census of approximately 135 visits per day. The facility is both STEMI and Stroke certified and provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and social services. The unit serves a broad patient population across all age groups in a combined adult and pediatric emergency setting.
