RN - NICU

Job Details:

* Option to work 4x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM) with no call, or 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM) with call requirement
* If choosing 3x12s, at least one 12-hour call shift bi-weekly is required
* Every other weekend coverage required unless needs change
* Float may be required to other NICU units or facilities as needed
* NICU Level II and Level III experience required
* Minimum 2 years of experience in field required
* Travel experience required - no first-time travelers accepted
* At least 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required
* Patient ratio of 2:1 for days, nights, and weekends
* 40 orientation hours
* Required certifications: BLS, NRP, STABLE, and SC license
* Documentation system: EPIC
* Unit system: Pyxis/Omnicell
* Patient population includes neonates and infants 22 weeks gestation and greater with diagnoses including abdominal wall defects, HIE, RDS/RFS, drug exposure/withdrawal, hypoglycemia, sepsis, TEF, Duodenal Atresia, Diaphragmatic Hernia, Urethral Stenosis, myelomeningocele, and ROP
* Special procedures include full body cooling, chest tubes, surgical repair of all anomalies except cardiac, tracheostomy management, Avastin administration, and laser eye surgery
* Special equipment includes Arctic Sun, Blanketrol, Jet Ventilator, HFOV, Draeger Ventilator, HFNC, Bubble CPAP, Alaris, Philips Central, B Braun feeding pumps, Infinity feeding pumps, Atom Dual Incubators, GE Dual Incubators, Draeger Caleos, Radiant warmers, External Shunt, and Ostomy
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Radiology, Social Services, Pharmacy, Transportation, and Unit Secretary

Facility:

This facility operates a 41-bed NICU with a daily census of 38 patients, providing comprehensive neonatal care for infants from 22 weeks gestation and greater. The unit supports a wide range of complex neonatal conditions and surgical cases, excluding cardiac repair, with robust interdisciplinary support services. The facility maintains high standards of care with advanced equipment and specialized procedures to support critically ill neonates and their families.
