Opportunity:

RN - Medical-Surgical / Telemetry

Job Details:

* 3x12-hour night shifts per week
* Half of scheduled shifts will include weekend coverage
* Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
* Travel experience preferred
* Epic charting system experience required
* Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS
* Patient ratio of 1:6 on days, nights, and weekends
* Care for patients ranging from young adults through geriatrics across a broad range of medical needs
* Unit is a Medical-Surgical / Telemetry floor with telemetry monitoring capabilities both on-unit and remote
* 19-room unit consisting of 18 private rooms and one semi-private room with a maximum census of 20 patients
* Required skills include: accessing/managing ports, blood product administration, central line blood draw, colostomy/ileostomy management, CVA care, feeding tube care and management, heparin and insulin administration, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions/PPE, Med/Surg and MS/Tele experience, nasal cannula and oxygen administration, oral suctioning, PCA management, peripheral line care, phlebotomy, PICC line management, pre/post hemodialysis management, pre/post neurosurgery care, renal failure management, spinal cord injury care, starting and maintaining IVs, telemetry monitoring, traumatic brain injury care, use of rapid response/code teams, and wound care/wound vac
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary
