Opportunity:
Peds/Neonatal Critical Care Transport RN
Job Details:
* 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* 3 shifts per week schedule
* Every other weekend required
* No call required
* May float to cover as bedside nurse in NICU, PICU, or Pediatrics units
* Transport infants and pediatric patients via ground transportation from surrounding hospitals, ERs, and L&D/NICU to a higher level of care facility
* Work collaboratively with transportation team including Respiratory Therapist and advanced practice provider
* Pick up patients from ED, NICU, and other units as needed
* Must have prior ground transportation experience
* Charge nurse experience preferred
* Minimum 2 years of experience required
* Epic charting system experience required
* Required certifications: BLS, NRP, PALS
* Required skills include: End-Tidal CO2 monitoring, arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, care of ventilated patients, central line blood draw, continuous sedation, high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), hypothermia protocol, interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs), interpretation of dysrhythmias, IV vasopressors, chest tube management, NG tube insertion/management, pediatric dosage calculations, phlebotomy, suctioning (ETT, NT), tracheostomy care, urinary catheter insertion/management, and ventilator management
* Patient age groups include neonates, infants, pediatrics, and adolescents

The organization is equipped with specialized transport equipment and maintains a dedicated external ground transportation team to support patients requiring a higher level of care.
