Opportunity:

CVICU RN

Job Details:

* 12-week assignment working three 12-hour night shifts per week from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* Patient ratio of 1:2
* Every other weekend requirement with holiday rotation
* No on-call required
* Floating required within scope to meet facility needs - agency staff will float first
* Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
* Block schedule may be requested prior to assignment start but is not guaranteed
* Travel experience required - first-time travelers not accepted
* Minimum 1 year of experience required, 2 years preferred
* Cardiac and Neuro experience required
* South Carolina license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, CC RN
* Epic charting experience required
* Scrub color: Royal Blue
* Free parking on site
* Patients served include adults and geriatrics with diagnoses including post open heart surgery
* Special equipment experience required: chest tubes, IABP, Impella, CRRT, temporary pacers, Swan Ganz, and cardiac output monitors
* Key skills include arterial line management, ventilator management, titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips, central line care, CVA/acute stroke management, and management of multisystem organ dysfunction

Facility:

This acute care facility operates with 276 staffed beds and provides comprehensive cardiovascular and neurological intensive care services. The facility offers interdisciplinary support including respiratory services and phlebotomy, and utilizes Epic as its primary charting system. The unit maintains high standards of patient care with specialized equipment and a structured staffing model designed to support complex cardiac and neurology patient populations.
