Opportunity:
Cath Lab Tech - Diagnostic and Interventional
Job Details:
* Minimum 2 years of experience required; first-time travelers accepted
* Patient population includes adults to geriatrics
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and CCI RCIS
* Epic (Cupid) charting system experience required; also utilizes Pyxis and SBAR
* Scrubs provided by the facility
* Work across 3 cath lab rooms with floating required within facility and scope of practice as needed, including throughout all areas of the Cath Lab
* Call requirements include STEMI coverage on weekends and weekdays
* Every other weekend shift required unless specified otherwise
* Maximum of 7 days of requested time off per contract; all RTO must be finalized at time of submission
* Holiday work expectations: if 1-2 major holidays fall during assignment, traveler is expected to work all of them; if 3 major holidays fall during assignment, traveler is expected to work 2 of them
* Major holidays include: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
* Key clinical skills include: diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization, PCI, PTCA, TAVR, Watchman, IABP placement/removal, Impella insertion, temporary pacemaker, left and right heart catheterization, ASD closures, rotablator atherectomy, ventricular assist device insertion, vascular closure systems, hemodynamic monitoring, fluoroscopy, and recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias
* Additional responsibilities include room circulator duties, scrub and sterile field maintenance, equipment setup and maintenance, inventory management, and supply stocking
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, respiratory services, interpretation services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
