Opportunity:
RN - IMC / IICU (Intermediate Intensive Care)
Job Details:
* Option of 13 or 26 week contract available
* Must work 2 of the 3 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's
* 6 weekend shifts required per 6-week schedule period
* Self-scheduling unit
* Patient ratio of 1:3 for days, nights, and weekends
* Care for adult patients including trauma, medical, surgical, and neurology cases requiring monitoring or interventions every 1-2 hours
* Unit receives direct admissions, ICU transfers, and escalations from Rapid Response Teams
* Minimum 2 years of RN experience required with at least 1 completed travel assignment
* Previous IICU/ICU experience with acuity of at least 1:3 required
* First-time travelers must have 3 years of experience within specialty and critical care experience
* Must have an active SC or multistate license - pending licenses not accepted
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required
* Must be proficient in cardiac monitoring and emergency response, including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias and telemetry monitoring
* Ventilator experience required
* Medication management skills must include titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips
* Progressive care settings such as PCU, DOU, IMC, or Stepdown experience will be considered
* Special equipment used includes Hercules patient repositioners, ceiling lifts, and Airtaps
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, and more
* Floating to other units or campuses may be required based on census needs and only to areas where competencies have been documented
* Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
* All RTO, block, and special scheduling requests must be submitted at time of application
