Opportunity:

INPATIENT 5N Med Surg or Oncology RN

Job Details:

* Night shift position working 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts
* Weekday shifts with every other weekend coverage required
* 13-week contract with possibility of extension
* Patient ratios of 1:5-6 across days, nights, and weekends
* Oncology experience preferred but not required
* Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
* Travel experience not required
* Blocked schedule available
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS; ONS Chemo/Bio certification preferred
* Previous charge nurse experience preferred
* Charting system: Cerner (experience preferred)
* Scrubs not provided; burgundy and/or white scrubs required
* Skills required: IV starts, accessing and managing ports, central line care, administration of blood and blood products, chemotherapy administration, PICC line care, foley catheter insertion and management, wound care, and infusion pump management
* Oncology-focused unit with med/surg overflow serving adult and geriatric patient populations
* Unit supports chemotherapy administration procedures
* Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation
* WV or Compact nursing license required; pending license accepted for submission
* Facility allows a maximum of 2-3 call-offs per contract

This facility is home to a 12-bed inpatient oncology unit that also serves as a med/surg overflow unit. The unit provides comprehensive oncology care including chemotherapy administration and is supported by a full interdisciplinary team including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation. The facility maintains high standards for patient care and staffing reliability.
